Модельный мир и мир кинематографа схожи, практика перехода манекенщиц в разряд актрис не новая. Так случилось и с Эммой Эпплтон в 2016 году. Впервые девушка засветилась в короткометражке Dreamlands. «Предатели» распахнули перед Эммой Эпплтон двери в большой кинематограф. Очень скоро британку заметили кастинг-директора Netflix. Они искали бойкую, бесстрашную актрису на роль княжны Ренфри для мини-сериала «Ведьмак» по литературным произведениям польского писателя Анджея Сапковского.
Эмма Эпплтон — одна из счастливиц, которая работала в кадре с Генри Кавиллом. Голливуду этот актер прекрасно знаком по роли Супермена в обновленной вселенной DC. Кавилл играет Геральта из Ривии, ведьмака.
Ренфри и Геральт сталкиваются в 1-м эпизоде «Начало конца». Серию открывает оккультный символ «черного солнца», который намекает, что княжна родилась в ночь лунного затмения. Именно этот факт делает ее мутантом в глазах чародея Стрегобора, который истребляет всех рожденных под «черным солнцем», прикрываясь благими намерениями.
Ренфри спаслась от убийства, начала бродячую жизнь. Она стала стремительной, смертоносной, главарем разбойничьей банды. Такой ее встречает Геральт.
Стрегобор просит Геральта помочь в истреблении Ренфри, но тот отказывается. Даже когда герои вступают в схватку на товарной площади Блавикена, ведьмак до последнего держит нож в ножнах. Впрочем, чему быть, того не миновать: эпизод завершается смертью Ренфри, на которую она буквально нарывается.

Controversies and celebrities are like two parts of the same coin and is bound to happen at one point of their life. One such case Emma Appleton went through was in 2014 when renowned American photographer Terry Richardson allegedly sexually harassed her online.
Apparently, Richardson sent a message to her through messenger offering her a Vogue shoot in exchange for sex with him.

The 28-year-old shared the screenshot of the message on her Instagram for a short while before removing it. Many people saw it, and media and tabloids published the news, and it spread like wildfire all over the internet.
Media and people criticized the photographer for his improper behavior and later denied the allegation stating it someone imitated him and sent it from a fake account.
After the incident, however, Vogue US made a statement that it will not work with Terry again.
