A year later, the girl starred in Puppy Love, labeled as child pornography in many countries. Eva made her mother a reputation, being a smaller version of Lolita, whom Humbert Humbert also called Lilith. The enterprising parent had her scandalous fame and, later, punishment: she lost custody of Eva in 1977. The adult daughter still takes her revenge, suing Irina and accusing her of making pornographic photos. In her autobiography published in 2015, Eva pushes things even further: she claims that Irina was born of father-daughter incest.

Vampire Tradition
While Carroll speculates of the heavenly kingdom and Nabokov of the Golden age, Irina Ionesco chooses the dark side and reaches immortality (one of her books is entitled Les Immortelles) through the vampire tradition: she makes her child an immortal vampire-kid with a predictable outcome. The kid becomes a full-grown vampire who drinks the mother’s blood: Eva’s written a book about her experience and directed a film based on her childhood memories. She exploits the past and sues her mother, which is the price for Irina Ionesco to pay. Well, as a vampire, Eva’s in her right. But is she right as a person who protests against the sexualization of childhood shooting a movie where it’s shown?

Stolen Childhood
Eva Ionesco’s mother, the Romanian-French photographer, Irina Ionesco was infamous for her erotic photography. But Irina Ionesco’s most scandalizing work was sexualizing her own child in her portraits, the way she would do with her much older models. Ionesco found her daughter photogenic, and the five-year-old became her favorite model.
Not only did Irina Ionesco take nude photographs of her daughter, but the famous nude photographer, Jacques Bourboulon also took pictures of 10-year-old Eva Ionesco in the nude. And at 11 years of age, Ionesco became the youngest model to ever pose nude for Playboy magazine.
She was featured in the October 1976 issue of the magazine’s Italian edition in a set of photos by Bourboulon. Her mother shot another set of nude pictorials which appeared in the Spanish edition of Penthouse in November 1978.
The same year she was featured in Playboy, Eva Ionesco made her film debut in Roman Polanski’s, The Tenant. She went on to act in several French movies and earned fame as an actress. Ionesco added directing and screenwriting to her credits with movies like My Little Princess. This critically-acclaimed film starring Isabelle Huppert was inspired by her estranged relationship with her own mother.
Irina Ionesco’s dysfunctional relationship with her daughter led her to lose custody of her children. So, Eva Ionesco was raised by the parents of celebrated footwear designer, Christian Louboutin.
Ionesco is now 52 years old and is married to Simon Liberati, a French journalist. Throughout the years, she has battled her mother in the courts for “emotional distress” as a result of her “stolen childhood.” She sued her mother for taking pornographic pictures of her as a child. And in 1998, French authorities confiscated hundreds of photographs of a nude Ionesco in sexually suggestive images from her mother’s apartment.
The court ordered 87-year-old Ionesco to pay her daughter €10,000 in damages and hand over negatives of the images. However, the court denied Eva Ionesco’s demand for €200,000 euros in compensation and banning her mother from profiting from her photographs.
Irina Ionesco’s lawyer argued that the ‘70s were more permissive and pinned the younger Ionesco’s hatred towards his client as the motive behind the lawsuit. But Eva Ionesco strongly disagrees. Her provocative pictures were as scandalizing back then just as they are today, especially after the recent death of Hugh Hefner. Furthermore, the Twitterverse is not comfortable with glorifying the Playboy mogul for publishing nude photographs of a child.
The movie Pretty Baby, based on a character named Violet, was portrayed by a young Brooke Shields on Eva Ionesco. Ironically, Brooke Shields was also a 10-year-old child model whose mother signed her on to be photographed for a nude photospread in the Playboy Press publication, Sugar and Spice.

Deprivation of parental rights
After the release of this magazine (there were no peers of Eve on the pages of Playboy either before or after), a real scandal erupted. The entire public rose up against Irina, who achieved a ban on existing photos and on the creation of new ones. Then Irina Ionesco was completely deprived of parental rights. She exhibited her pictures in several galleries in Paris and on the Internet. In 2011 Ionesco presented her autobiographical feature film debut with I’m Not a F ** king Princess , in which her mother was portrayed by Isabelle Huppert and she herself by Anamaria Vartolomei . The film earned Ionesco a César nomination in 2012 . On November 12, 2012, she sued her mother for damages in the amount of 200,000 euros and for the surrender of all nude photos that her mother had taken of her in the 1970s. The court ordered the return of negatives and awarded Eva Ionesco 10,000 euros in damages, but rejected further claims.

Eva Ionesco was born on July 18, 1965 in Paris (France). Her mother, Irina Ionesco, a photographer working in the genre of bohemian erotica, was already quite famous at the time of her daughter’s birth. Her photos sold well and were printed on the pages of major publications.

Born in 1995, son Lucas Ionesco was raised by Eva, who has now grown into a fine young man and followed his mother’s footsteps as an actor. It is no doubt that the actress is now living a blissful life with her family in Paris.
Despite that, Eva still has some unresolved issues with her mother. In 2012, Ionesco sued her mother for taking erotic pictures and traumatizing her childhood. The mother was found guilty and ordered to pay compensation as a result. Besides, Irina was also banned from selling, transmitting, and exhibiting images of her daughter without her consent.

Биография
Ирина Ионеско родилась в семье циркачей-гастролеров из Румынии 3 сентября 1935 года во Франции, в Париже. Родители фотохудожницы практически не занимались ее воспитанием, они были увлечены работой. Поэтому четырехлетнюю девочку отвезли в город Констанца в Румынии на попечение к бабушке.
Но с наступлением Великой Отечественной Войны обе женщины бегут в Париж. Ионеско Ирина работала в танцевальных шоу, но в возрасте 21 года она пристрастилась к живописи. Девушке нравилось рисовать элементы женских предметов.
В 1964 году Ирина Ионеско в парижской галерее Nikon познакомилась с художником, который и подарил ей первый фотоаппарат. Девушка увлеклась снимками. И уже в 1965-м она нашла для себя модель по имени Анук. Так появилась первая фотография от Ионеско «Koma Raphaelite». Художница работает в стиле эротического декаданса. Она фотографировала частично оголенных женщин.
В 1974 году в Париже была организована первая выставка фотографий, автором которых являлась Ирина Ионеско
Работы женщины привлекли внимание общественности, что повлекло за собой славу и предложения о сотрудничестве. Ее снимки хотели размещать множество журналов и арт-галерей со всего мира
