Brad Falchuk was born in Massachusetts on March 1, 1971. He was born into a Jewish household. His mother, Nancy Falchuk, is the president of the Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
Kenneth Falchuk (Brad’s father) worked at Harvard Medical School as a dedicated and excellent researcher. On May 3, 2018, he passed away. He was a young basketball, lacrosse, and baseball player.
In addition, he had dyslexia as a child. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, respectively.

As a student at the American Film Institute, Falchuk co-founded the arts education nonprofit Young Storytellers, with Mikkel Bondesen and Andrew Barrett, due to problems in funding for creative arts programs in Los Angeles Schools. Falchuk currently serves as one of the Young Storytellers’ advisory board of directors.
Evan Falchuk, who is Brad Falchuk’s brother, founded the United Independent Party and was a candidate for governor in the 2014 Massachusetts gubernatorial election. In 2008, Falchuk was diagnosed by his father’s medical consulting firm as having a serious issue with his spinal cord.
